I'm looking for a software that I can use to edit videos. I've just started to become interested in this, so I'm looking for shareware or something that isn't too expensive (or professional).

You can start editing videos with Windows Movie Maker. The program is included in all Windows operating systems. Otherwise you can buy Sony Movie Studio as a good entry level video editing software. Give those programs a try and see if you like being an video editor.
