I use Windows XP 2003 on my PC. It works well and never let me down so far. But currently I find that the search tool doesn't work. When I click the search button, the puppy does appear. But he doesn't dig when I start searching. Instead, my PC freezes and I have to restart it.
What happens with my PC?
Without more details, it could be one of three things:
- The hard drive is failing
- The operating system is corrupt
- The RAM is failing
I would scan your hard drive for failure using a free hard drive diagnostic tool. Then I would take check the RAM by pulling out one stick of RAM at a time and seeing if the problem persist. Lastly, I would do a Windows repair using the operating system CD that should have come with your computer.
