I was beating my head against a brick wall last night trying to find a way for someone I know running Win98, who is having issues with FF and IE (anything above 6) to download maybe Opera? He keeps getting a frozen computer with IE, and FF keeps crashing - is there any hope when you do not upgrade?

If IE 6 doesn't work in Win98 then the operating system must be corrupt. Only a Windows repair or fresh install would fix the problem.
