Recently began experiencing "Checksum errors" etc from my Gateway Notebook computer. The Blue screen of death and all the fixens. I thought my hard drive finally failed until I was reviewing different pages and sites with others who were having the same difficulty with blue screens and all the while, only the CMOS battery had gone 'flat'. I've searched for schematics of my model Gateway, even so far as contacting Gateway support only to be told since I was no longer under warranty I would be considered a "pay for help" consumer. To hell with that....can anyone please help me with a detailed written "walk through" of how this particular task is performed? Better still, I would truly appreciate a video of "how to" do this task. Thanks for the consideration.
