When using the disk cleanup tool in system tools, how do you know if the tool picks up something you shouldn't delete?

Using the Windows Disk Cleanup utility will not delete any files that you've created. When you run the Disk Cleanup program you will be giving the option of choosing which type of files you want to delete. So make sure to only select the type of files like Temporary Internet Files, Log Files, etc and you won't have a problem.
