I have a Compaq computer. It freezes up on me, requiring me to reboot, at least once each computer session. Where do I start looking for a solution to the problem?

Computer Keeps Freezing Up

It sounds to me like one of two things; a failing hard drive or some failed RAM. Start by pulling out one stick of RAM at a time and see if the problem persists. If the computer freezing is still there then scan your hard drive of bad sectors and read errors. You can download some free software provided by your hard drive manufacturer to scan your hard drive for failure.
