Last week I turned on my laptop and when I went to a site with music I noticed that my speakers were somewhat muffled and rattle some as well. The only thing I could imagine was that they were "busted" somehow. Is there anything else it could be? How can I fix it?

If the speakers make a "rattle" noise then chances are high the speakers have failed. What you could do is uninstall the audio drivers and download the newest driver from the manufacturers website and install them. If doesn't fix it, then plug in external speakers and use them.
