This may seem like a very simple task but there are a lot of new computer users that still don’t know how move a file from one location to another location. The function of copying a file and pasting it in another location is a very useful tasks and one that will used often as computer users become more familiar with their system. I will now walk you through the simple process of copy and paste.


1. Find the file that you want to copy. Whether that file is in an email, folder or your desktop.

2. Right click the file and then click on Copy.

3. Now find the location where you want to paste the file and then right click again and choose Paste.

4. You will now see an exact copy of the original file in a new location.


– If you want to permanently move a file from one spot to another then use the Cut option instead of Copy.
